Wellbeing
Bridgewater Primary School is proud to have been awarded the Emotionally Friendly Settings (EFS) Bronze Accreditation for our commitment to improving children’s emotional wellbeing.
At Bridgewater Primary School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We believe in promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing to ensure that the school is a community where everyone is able to thrive. Our school ethos and values underpin everything that we do.
Through our curriculum, we teach resilience, confidence, positive self-esteem and coping mechanisms to all children, as well as a focus aspect within our PHSE curriculum. Through Miss Lomax’s weekly ‘Positive Post’ letters, we discuss a positive affirmation and develop emotional literacy skills, self-control, developing positive relationships and keeping healthy in both mind and body.
